A robust and scalable global network of Edge PoPs

Section’s global PoP network is built on the foundations of AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, RackCorp, Packet, and Google Compute Engine, with more hosting providers being added regularly. The network currently includes over 140 PoPs throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Section is regularly growing our PoP network and can create new PoPs on demand.

Having a larger number of PoPs is the old CDN mantra. With our advanced Edge Compute Platform, Section has provided performance and security improvements for customers moving from providers with thousands of PoPs. The power and flexibility of Section’s platform and modern network of edge PoPs goes far beyond classic content delivery methods to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

Because our PoPs are built using a variety of hosting providers, users can choose what networks work for them or host different file types on different hosting providers for cost savings.

Section can deploy PoPs on demand and also provides the ability to deploy the Edge Compute Platform on-premise or on boutique hosting providers.

Advanced infrastructure that protects from attacks

Section’s network is highly scalable and elastic, protects from network-layer DDoS attacks, and offers superior connectivity and peering. In addition, Section is PCI compliant and provides high network reliability.

Other features of Section include Anycast DNS hosting, load balancing, HTTP/2 for all customers, ELK Stack logs and alerting to immediately diagnose issues, and real-time metrics.
